“Working with start-ups means working closely with founders and their ideas – and getting a sense of what we, as consumers, will be seeing in the future. A specialized area like Nitro, with a very directed focus, allows clients to ‘grow with us’. Through Nitro, they can get the very deep base of knowledge and expertise that Blakes offers, without any sacrifice in quality. And it’s very exciting for us to be close to the process of building something, and to work at the forefront of innovation.”
In 2014, Matt was seconded to a large telecommunications firm, where he worked on a number of general corporate matters. In 2012‒3 Matt clerked at the Ontario Court of Appeal for Chief Justice Warren Winkler and Justice Gloria Epstein.
